A two-meter height change within the garden has been turned into a series of planting beds influenced by the stepped terraces common to rice paddies. These spaces are created using cor-ten steel sheets that interlock and, with bronzed rust verticals, are ideal for showing the green foliage of the shade tolerant plants. The usable space for eating and seating is defined with a crisp hardwood deck.
